Investigating environmentally sustainable forms of transportation in the Las Vegas valley, specifically busing, using multimedia and interactivity. My co-author and I are developing a Flash game to engage our users.

Created marketing plan for agency to start social media initiatives. Included policies and protocols for comments and content submissions, Wikipedia article on LVRDA, and gave advice on using tools like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, etc. Also gave feedback on website redesign.

Because of my expertise in social media, I was asked to sit on the marketing committee of the Reno Philharmonic to create new ways that concert goers can engage with the arts.

As part of an advanced reporting course project, I created and maintained a blog on feminism in Las Vegas. For this project, I took the initiative to learn how to edit audio and video and conduct interviews with the online program Utterz and an iTalk. It received 1,924 hits in only three months and maintained a steady flow of 30-40 hits a day.

Expanded outreach in new markets such as university students and young professionals. Helped start-up a young professionals group, MUSE, that sold nearly 100 memberships in just the first six months. Increased outreach to the media by 200 percent.
